THE CHALLENGE:
Sokal Media Group has merged with its sister company Webstreak. Sokal Media group handled most of the account services and graphic design, while Webstreak took care of any web-based products and websites.  The two companies combining resources is a huge deal for everyone involved. To commemorate this change Sokal Media Group is rebranding and dropping the "Media Group". The new branding visualizes the idea that the company will always move forward, and has adopted the phrase, Go Sokal. The final component of the brand rollout is to develop a new website that takes the best parts of the Sokal and Webstreak websites.
STAKEHOLDER MEETING:
To begin this web design project, I wanted to meet with the managers to get a feel for exactly what they wanted the new website to accomplish. After a few meetings I was able to determine the main priorities for the new design.  They wanted the site to be clean, energetic, and show the company culture.   I wanted to utilize the arrows from the new logo to subtly push the idea of movement and energy.  Always up or forward, never backwards, which is the companies new philosophy.

The homepage will display a looping video that shows the company culture.  People working, having fun, collaborating.   Playing off of the "Go Sokal" phrase , the headers on most pages has a word that relates to the companies culture as well as the page.  For example Go Unite relates to the way employees enjoy working together.
