THE CHALLENGE:
Design an internal project management application, that will eliminate the need to use external applications.
The application should allow different teams to communicate and collaborate on projects from clients.
The application should allow different teams to communicate and collaborate on projects from clients.
RESEARCH:
I Began by sitting down with stakeholders to assess the full scope and requirements of the teams project. By interviewing select users in each of the companies departments, I was able to identify multiple pain points. I found that one of the main concerns of users, was having to learn a new project management system. The applications most users were familiar with were Trello and Helpscout. Trello was being used to see what user is working on different aspects of a project. Helpscout was used to receive tickets from clients, and to communicate to the clients about projects.
Wireframe & Mockups
Final Product
After several iterations we were able to build the application pretty close to the mockups. We removed several features we deemed unnecessary. Doing this kept the UI from becoming overly complex. Teams is still undergoing tweaks and updates as we have more and more users logging in and using the application.
